THE ACROPOLIS OF RHODES

Far from the urban liveliness, standing on the top of Monte Smith hill, one can admire the Acropolis of the ancient city of Rhodes and the Temple of Apollo.  
The hill was named after the British Napoleonic admiral William Sidney Smith, who rose to fame during the French Revolution. The Acropolis of Rhodes offers a panoramic view of the town of Rhodes and the surrounding Ixia Bay, and houses among its ruins important antiquities such as the restored ancient stadium of Diagoras, where you may enjoy the sunset, and the small marble theater which today hosts musical and theatrical performances.
